I am a qualified in microsystem Ear and Face acupuncture, undergoing further training in Hands & Feet microsystems at the Yuan College for Traditional medicine in London with John Tindall.
Alongside, I am taking an interest in the principles of the Yin & Yang and the 5 elements in Chinese Elements to support the practical side of acupuncture.
Acupuncture is all about rebalancing the body and strengthening the Qi. When the QI is strong, the body performs well. Acupuncture is a very clever and effective way to instruct the Qi where to go in the body. Chinese medicine approach treats the person, not the symptoms, however it is found to be effective in supporting a wide range of conditions, from stress/anxiety to Musculo skeletal issues to name a few.
The needles are left for 30 minutes minimum whilst the full circle of Qi takes place in the body.
My personal experience of acupuncture
Acupuncture has helped me in when my work carrer took a diffferent path, overcoming conditions that had been part of me for many years. Alongside physical recovery, I felt emotionally transformed and this led me to a new sense of wellbeing I hadn’t felt for decades.
When the opportunity presented itself to study acupuncture, I felt this was a very natural evolution to my reflexology practice, and this would really enhance my treatments. It has added great value to all my treatments, my clients have certainly felt the benefits, and as I am carrying on with the learning through case studies and further courses, acupuncture is now part of daily practice in my healing space.
Acupuncture is very much about intention and about achieving the best possible outcome for the client. It is safe and very relaxing for clients.
Microsystems acupuncture :
All maps of the body are represented as holograms on the ears, face, scalp, hands and the feet, with each of those areas containing numerous holograms. All of those areas offer a wide range of possibility to assist the client healing.
Auricular acupuncture is useful for stress management, post-traumatic stress, pain
management, internal organ balance, mental and emotional balance, detoxification,
addiction, substance misuse, weight loss/gain and many other health conditions, as
well as general wellbeing.
This is a lovely addition to complement a foot reflexology treatment.
Facial acupuncture
The face is the story of you. By treating the face, we treat the whole body. It can bring emotionnal release and relaxation.
Fine needles are placed in specific points in the face, improving the flow of QI to reduce signs of aging ; acupuncture moves the Qi, Qi moves blood. Facial acupuncture has cosmetic benefits as each needles stimulates the production of collagen.
Facial acupuncture needles increase circulation and cause micro injuries, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin to make skin look more youthful and firm. With ongoing treatment sessions, you may see a reduction in fine lines, more firmness, and a smoother texture.
Hand acupuncture
Hand acupuncture is particularly useful for pain management, musculoskeletal, injuries and for maintaining general wellbeing.
